Lucketts Travel has worked with the team at Rise Digital Media to provide a new commuter bus link between Portsmouth and Whiteley, branded the Whiteley Connect. Customers will be able to pay onboard using the NextStop® contactless payment solution, which commences operation on the 1st August 2019.

The new service will also provide a dedicated app for customers to track the location of the vehicles and check for service updates in real-time.

To deliver the functionality, Rise Digital Media deployed their NextStop® driver app and passenger app. Using the integrated technology platform, information is shared between the apps so that both the vehicle’s capacity and its occupancy level are known.
